Ecosystems

In science we have been discussing ecosystems and the organisms within ecosystems. We have also talked about the effects of one wrong move in an ecosystem that could effect many different organisms.

There have been many recent debates about global warming and its effects on ecosystems. Global warming is basically a problem that causes the Earth’s temperature to rise. How do you think global warming will effect cold ecosystems? How will an increased temperature effect organisms living in a cold ecosystem? Finally, although this hasn’t happened yet, how do you know that global warming is good or bad for ecosystems?

    aren’t terrariams ecosystem

  2. jacob.l. says:

    aren’t terrariams ecosystems?

  3. Chris A says:

i think it is bad. it will melt the polar and arctic ice sheets and the polar bears will not be able to adapt so they will die.

  4. Sierra H says:

If the rain forest was beining burned down what would happen to it?

  5. Austin D. says:

The animals will die and it will be hard to get used to the weather.

  6. Amanda B. says:

It might be hard to adapt to the global warming for the animals from the North and South Pole because they’re used to a cold climate

  7. Chris A says:

it will be better for the organisams that need hot weather to survive because there will be more energy and nuetrience to live.

  8. Mr. Fowler says:

How do you know this Chris?

  9. Jesse C. says:

I THINK THAT IF GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL THE SEA LIONS MIGHT DIE BECAUSE THEY NORMALY GET ALL THEIR FOOD ON THE ICE(ALL OF THEIR FOOD FROM ANIMALS THAT ARE STUCK ON THE ICE.

  10. Jason S says:

the animals in cold envirement they will die because the food would go to a cold place and then the will die of starvation.

  11. Mr. Fowler says:

    Sierra,
I think the animals in the rainforest would either die or move to another forest. Also, the producers would probably burn because they can’t move.

  12. jacob.l. says:

my comment is penguins of south africa would move to antartica

  13. Tess Lile [18] says:

    What is an Ecosytem?

An Ecosystem is organisem’s what you can study things in trareams.

  14. Shannon D. says:

i think that globle warming will start to kill pengins and polor bears because if the polor bears and pengins get to hot because it will start to melt the ice and the fur on the polor bear will get to hot and pengins blubber will start to boil. they might adapt to the tempriter because it is raising slowly.

  15. Austin B. says:

I think that globle warming is bad because it can kill animals that live in the cold weather because they have already have adaped to there climate. It will kill polar bears, pengwins, dolfins and other animals that live in the cold weather.

  16. Mr. Fowler says:

    Jesse,
Nice comment. I liked how you thought about the sea lions and their food source being harmed. Nice!

  17. Ethan E says:

A pole bear mite die because it is to worm or run away.

  18. Sammi E. says:

I THINK THAT THE ANIMALS IN COLD ECOY SYSTEMS WILL DIE BECAUSE LIKE THE POLAR BEARS WILL GET SO HOT THAT THE FUR MIGHT MAKE IT EVEN HOTTER AND THEY WOUNDN’T BE ABLE TO RIP OFF THE SKIN. OR MOVE TO A NEW ENVIROMENT WHICH MAY NOT HELP.

  19. jacob.l. says:

I think the ice caps would melt

  20. Mr. Fowler says:

How will global warming effect animals that live in warm ecosystems? Some people say that hurricanes are getting worse because of global warming and warm water. Is this possible? What do you think?

  21. Austin D. says:

It will be hard for them to find a new home. Also I like eggs.

  22. Kira T says:

If we have globle warming some of the polar ice caps could melt and we will have a globle floud. The animals might die because they can’t swim. The Arctic animals may not die because there could be water in the Arctic and they could swim in it. So they know how to swim. The other animals might die because they can’t swim.

  23. Tess Lile [18] says:

I think that animals will die because it is to cold for them to survive.

  24. Austin D. says:

It will be to hot for the animals.

  25. Amanda B. says:

It will be harmful to some, and not for others.

  26. Mr. Fowler says:

Nice comment Tess… I think you are correct. How do you know that they animals will die?

  27. Alexis J says:

habbitats are in ecosystem and if you ruwin a ecosystem you ruwin a habittat.

  28. Shannon D. says:

i think that global warmingk will effect animals that live in a warm ecosystem because i can make it really really warm so that they will get to hot

  29. TaylorE. says:

The animals might die. Polar bears can die because of it lives livein the cold NOT in the cold. Also the arctic was warma few years ago.

  30. Sammi E. says:

I THINK THAT MR.FOWLER’S COMENT WAS COOL. BY THE WAY I PERSONLY THINK THAT GLOBAL WARMING IS CAUSED BY THE SUNS INCREASED HEAT IS CAUSING THE GLOBAL WARMING.

  31. Tess Lile [18] says:

Because the animals might die because they would freze half to deth.

  32. Austin B. says:

He Mr. Fowler leave a reply to my writing please!

  33. Shannon D. says:

did you know that globle warming can evently kill people also if we don’t do anything! šŸ˜¦

  34. jacob.l. says:

It will be to hot for penguins to survive.

  35. spencerH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! says:

    I can’t send any thing.

  36. Louis B. says:

That if the tempature went way up all of the walrus, pinguns ,and polorbears wouldnt have any more food for the animals in Anartic.

  37. Chris A says:

    awesome comment kira!!!

  38. Mr. Fowler says:

How do you feel if the temperature goes up or down really fast? Do you feel differently, sometimes I get a headache, do you?

  39. Amanda B. says:

Shannon? How could it kill people?

  40. Tess Lile [18] says:

Shannon I like your post @.)

  41. Mr. Fowler says:

Apparently Austin is hungry… hmmm… almost time for lunch?

i think that you can help animals by stoping polouting :~)

  44. Chris A says:

    i think the monkeys and tropical animals will be glad;-}

  45. JTD says:

If your a warm bloded animal is in a cold place you will die. šŸ˜¦

GO STATE, and love those TIGERS!!

  47. Austin B. says:

Hey Mr. Fowler I got that scorpion in my back pack already and I’ll bring it in tomarrow at science time. Trust me it’s cool! I wrote this in eco- systems because its part of science and can you leave a reply to this tonight………please
