Awesome Science Video

Alright, alright. The Honda video is here. The kids have been asking me to post this video for a while… so here it is. Our class spent quite a bit of time analyzing this video for our simple machines unit. The kids really seemed to like the part of the video where the sound waves force the spring to roll off of the windshield. I personally like the part of the video where the fan is blowing just long enough to hit the stand.

A couple of questions for you to consider while watching. One, what’s your favorite part? Two, we debated about the simple machine that the car rolls off of at the end of the commercial. Some said it’s an inclined plane, while some said it’s a lever. What do you think?

Awesome video! Loved the whole thing especially the stereo being turned on. Trudi and Mom think that at the end of the video, a lever is shown. We think an inclined plane is stationary like a winding road or a screw. A lever has a fulcrum and in this case the fulcrum is moving.

My favorite part is when the piston rolled. I think it is a inclined plane.

    Hey Toni,
You’re right…this video is awesome! Too bad we didn’t make our own Rube Goldberg like this one. My summer has been great. I have been playing with a lot of technology for the classroom and relaxing a bit! I will miss you guys next year too! Take care.
