With the changing new year, many people make new year’s resolutions. One of my new year’s resolutions is to play more basketball and read more books on bettering myself as a teacher. I know what the kids in my class are saying,”but Mr. Fowler… you couldn’t possibly be a better teacher; we love school!” Well, thanks kids, but I could always use more practice!
Although we have not talked a lot about new year’s resolutions, I was wondering what type of resolutions you might have. However, I don’t want to hear about how you want to do more homework in 2007 (don’t worry… I’ll make sure you do), or how you want to treat your brother better, or even how you want to buy Mr. Fowler MSU basketball tickets. I want to know what you can do in 2007 in order to have great character.
What are some small things you can do on a daily basis to be a better person? Perhaps you might want to help your friend in school with his times table, maybe you want to hold the door for a friend or teacher, or perhaps you want to shovel a neighbor’s driveway whenever it decides to snow. I invite you to post your ideas here. Maybe you might be able to inspire other people with your ideas!

I can help with chors and help my brother more.
I would have better character by helping my mom do things around the house.
My new year resolution is to stop breaking my dirt bike so much, and get along with my brother and sister. Do my home work once in a while when i have it, those are all the new year resoltions i have.
To get all A’s and B’s 🙂

That was a very nice post.
I will try to do better in math so I can get on the Golden Honor Roll. What I am going to study harder, work harder, I am going to try as hard as I can so I can acomplish my dreams. ( But this is like the 100th one on my list.)
I would try to help my brother change his attitude by talking to him about why he is angry also change his grades by helping with some of his homework.
For my newyears resolution I am going to help my dad with my dogs.
I could help out my parrents by making my own money by doing chores, so that they don’t have to always lend me money. If I make my own money my parents will have a better reason for giving me money.
Marshall helping with chors is boring but it helps other people.

I think you all have great ideas. I am impressed with how many people want to raise their grades. The first step to achieving this goal is to actually set the goal. I think you are all well on your way!

also, try to be a “little more considerate toward him”says mother, he’s jus a little boy”. Next time I see him I will be considerate toward him.

MY NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS IS TO SPEND TIME WITH MY DAD. ONE THING IS TO BUILD THE MODEL HELOCOPTER HE GOT ME FOR CHRISTMAS. ALSO, WHEN WE GO TO GREAT WOLF LODGE I COULD GO ON THE WATER SLIDES MORE, GO SIGHT SEEING, AND PLAY IN THE ARCADE. ANOTHER ONE OF MY RESOLUTIONS IS TO PLAY WITH MY WEBKINZ (DIGITAL PET ON THE COMPUTER) SO THAT IT WON’T DIE. BY DOING THIS I’LL GET ON THE COMPUTER EVERY WEEKEND MORNING.

Also I”m going to be nice to people like for example picking up stuff after people drop stuff even though I do. I”M going to actually listen and learn when the teacher is teaching instead of sleeping. Zzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeeee. And I”m going to even going to stop picking on Mr. Fowler. How I would be better this year is to not be so mean to my sister because she’ll go and tattle on me and i’ll get in trouble for it. How I would try to accomplish that is to help her when she needs it.

This year I will try to be helpful and clean around the house. It will be hard but I can do it! But my first step on trying to keep the house clean is trying to keep my bedroom clean.
My little brother, Stewart, is in kindergarden so I can help him with reading and other things
Another resalution is to get more sleep to raise my grades.

I hade a GREAT NEW YEARS
There’s only a few thangs I want to maybe do for my New year resolution. the first thang is I would like to get my room clean for the first time in about two years. I’ll have my sister help me over and over again and maybe even have my grandma and grandpa do the same. so there I told you the only thang I could thank of doing because I claen to much eney ways.

I am thinking of trying a blog myself. I have enjoyed reading your comments, and Mr. Fowler has certainly kept you busy with various topics. Reading your views, comments, I have learned so much about all of you. Good luck with your resolutions, and wish me good luck as I set up a blog.
